Heading Bush Outback
Adventures was established in 1989 and is the original Adelaide to Alice Springs Tour Company.
The company was founded and is still owned and managed by Mick Murdoch who is 5th generation of two outback, pioneering families. His passion for the past 18 years has been to take international and local travelers into these rarely visited desert regions, so our passengers can truly say they have been introduced to Aboriginal culture and experienced the real outback.
ADELAIDE TO ALICE SPRINGS 10 DAY 4WD EXPEDITION
The 10 day camping expedition is a very special experience visiting all the well known outback icons such as The Flinders Ranges, Oodnadatta track, Lake Eyre, Coober Pedy, Uluru,(Ayers Rock) The Olgas, Kings Canyon and the Western McDonald Ranges.
We also explore remote outback regions rarely visited by the average tourist, including The Painted Desert, Mt Dare, and the spectacular Simpson Desert, where passengers can swim by star light at Dalhousie hot springs.
Our passengers experience true aboriginal culture and enjoy a night of indigenous songs and story telling at Iga Warta aboriginal community.
We travel in well equipped all terrain vehicles with a maximum of 16 passengers
ADELAIDE TO ALICE SPRINGS 5 DAY ACCOMMODATED BUS TOUR
In addition to our original Heading Bush 4WD Adventures 10 day expedition our new company Australis Oz Tours will offer an Adelaide to Alice Springs 5 day fully accommodated tour, traveling in deluxe coaster buses (maximum 21 passengers).
We will be staying in cabin style accommodation with ensuite bathrooms. This package has been designed for the traveller who is on a tight time schedule but still wants to visit the major outback icons.
We also appreciate that not everyone wants to camp in the outback and there is a growing segment of the market that is looking for ‘a little bit of luxury’
