Two top quality McLaren Vale wineries, Gemtree http://www.gemtreevineyards.com.au/ and Dowie Doole http://www.dowiedoole.com/, have joined forces to present their wines in a tasting room and garden at the renowned restaurant, the Salopian Inn. The inn was built in 1851 and has been renovated to include a cellar door. 1851 has been chosen as the name for the exclusive Gemtree & Dowie Doole club in recognition of the Inn’s longevity as a public house.

At cellar door visitors are invited, for a small charge, to taste our premium wines served with regional cheese and lavosh while enjoying picturesque vineyard views. The unique wine flight program gives you the opportunity to compare, contrast, experience and explore the wines in an educational and enjoyable manner.
