Set within the heights of the Adelaide Hills, Cleland Wildlife Park offers visitors a special opportunity to discover and interact with some amazing South Australian animals.

Facilities include:

  • Licensed Cafe offering a variety of light meals, snacks and refreshments.
  • Souvenir shop specialising in unique gifts and Australian themed souvenirs.
  • Disability access to exhibits and wheelchair loan
  • Public toilets and parents room.
  • Picnic areas.  Gas barbecues.

Kangaroo and Friends

Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus and other wildlife freely roam through the open space enclosures. Approach quietly to hand-feed, pat and photograph animals up close.

Koala Close-ups

Meet, touch and photograph our charming southern koalas daily.  For a lasting memory of your visit, Cleland's professional photography services will capture the moment as you hold one of the  park's koalas.

Nightwalks

Nightlife@Cleland - Discover the active nightlife of the bush up close as common, rare and endangered wildlife such as bettongs, potoroos and bandicoots scurry about their nightly activities. Conditions apply and bookings are essential.

Education Programs

Cleland offers Education Officer facilitated programs by prior arrangment throughout the school year. During school holiday periods, Cleland offers special fun filled interative programs that are free with admission. 

Nocturnal Exhibit

Explore the interactive 'Ocean to Outback' exhibit and view nocturnal animals of the desert landscape including snakes, geckoes and the endangered Bilby.  Journey through South Australia's varied landscapes as you encounter threatened and vulnerable species including Stick Nest Rats from coastal regions and Ghost Bats of the arid ranges.  Learn how your backyard is part of urban habitat and how you can make it 'wildlife friendly'.

How to get there

Cleland Wildlife Park is 12 kilometres from Adelaide.  From the city, take Glen Osmond Road and the South Eastern Freeway. Exit the freeway at Crafers and follow the signs from Mount Lofty Summit.   Alternatively follow Greenhill Road from the city and turn onto Mount Lofty Summit Road.   Extenisve parking is available.
